Keep a (paper) record of (examples) of your (best) work. (Regularly, and prospectively) File this (so that it is accessible) - advice from my dad (an Architect). This becomes (the foundation of) a Professional Portfolio.

Analogue (paper) Portfolio ⟶ Digital (e) Portfolio.

Using Open-Access, "Off the shelf", Accessible, "Free" (process and tools transferable, adoptable easily by others), Online tools and platforms (Apps) to (systematically, regularly, and prospectively) collect, archive, and (hyper)link to (digital) examples of your (best) work (in their most granular and modular form, to maximise potential for reusability). File this. On device and "cloud". Which becomes (the foundation of, an accessible, literally "in the palm of your hand") Professional Portfolio.

Which is available, and easily accessible for - annual performance reviews, job applications (professional and academic), applications for promotion (and "tenure"); licensing applications, fellowship applications etc. ⟶ (many of which) are now in digital, and online (and initially screened increasingly by AI platforms, followed by human review.

➡️ I have a very personal, and intense professional interest and academic focus on the use of low cost, and "free", off the shelf, technology tools and platforms. Which can be immediately used by both faculty and students, and can also be integrated easily into existing Learning Management Systems. The idea of "no budget" innovation. My challenge to students, and faculty (during faculty development sessions) is to implement Technology Enhanced Learning immediately with "what is at hand", "off the shelf", with "no budget". https://medicaleducationelearning.blogspot.com/2017/09/sotl-in-meded.html (my Medical Education and Technology enhanced Learning [or eLearning] ePortfolio)
